ALLIA MCDOWELL

(Alley-uh)

Strategist. Storyteller. Michigander. Dog Lover.

GET IN TOUCH.

At a young age I learned I have a weird talent for untying knots.

Ironic, considering that’s essentially what strategy is. You pull on one thread until others start to loosen, and then eventually you find yourself with something completely different. Like a lasso. Or a leash. Or the piece of string your dog tore free from an ‘indestructible’ toy. In any case, an impossible, obscure tangle unravels into a new thing entirely - a new opportunity.

I never expected my knack for untying knots would turn into a career. But here I am.

I have a passion for creativity and storytelling. I am serious about where I want my life to go, but I try not to take life too seriously. My dream is to, one day, work in a place where I am free to use my voice without fear, and play a hands-on role in bringing some of the best ideas to life. I value and respect the vast influence that brands have — and how brands have the responsibility to wield that influence to make this world a better place. I consider myself lucky to be able to play a role in that. It’s a power I don’t take lightly.

I believe in the importance of the Oxford comma, the power of black coffee, and the genius of Will Shortz’s NYT crossword puzzles.
